James and Katie's Wedding
One of Andrew's oldest and bestest buddies got married this summer in Indianapolis, IN. James and Andrew lived across the street from each other in Elk Grove and went to high school together. Long before high school though, they used to play sports and video games together dating back to the late 80's. Wow, they've know each other a LONG time. Katie, James' now wife, grew up in Carmel, just outside of Indy, so we got to spend the weekend there in the middle of July.
We felt very privileged to be a part of their special day. Along with the other Conant boys, Andrew got to be a groomsman. We always have such a great time with them, and this was no different. James and Katie got married and had their reception at a beautiful golf club and resort. This resort just happened to have a sweet guest house with just enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us all to stay. A great time was had by all. Here's a video to remember the weekend. Here's to James and Katie. May you have a lifetime of happiness.

One Year Anniversary
On July 12 (almost 2 months ago, I'm really behind) we celebrated our one year anniversary! Can you believe that we have been married a year already? It seems like only yesterday that we were with all of our family and friends celebrating our love on a beautiful Madison July afternoon. To celebrate our wonderful year together, we went to Saugatuck, MI. If you remember, we took a mini-honeymoon there right after the wedding last year. We are going to try to make this an annual trip.
We stayed at Hidden Garden Inn and Cottages again. We just love that place. They have the best hospitality, the cottage has such a great location and the room brings us back to our vacation in Italy.
This summer we went the Wednesday-Friday before our anniversary weekend. We like to go during the week because it is not so busy with all the tourists and we can get into our favorite restaurants with no wait. This year we rented bikes and Andrew rented a scooter. We got to take a tour around Saugatuck. It was a lot of fun. And look how happy Andrew looks. He decided that he wants to get a scooter to travel around Madison on, because he had so much fun on this one.
We love Saugatuck so much because it is so peaceful and we get to rest and spend quality time together. We go to the beach at least once to see the sunset, which is one of our favorite parts. We also love all the delicious food. Everyday People in Douglas is probably one of our favorite restaurants ever. It has such great food and an Ahi Tuna meal that Andrew absolutely loves. Here are a couple of our favorite photos.
