Preggers and Tailgating....

they don't really mix.

The first game we went to was a Wisconsin game.  Our friends Kristin and Brendan came up to celebrate my birthday and go to a football game labor day weekend.  I was only about 6.5 months pregnant.  We enjoyed some Bloody Mary's (mine virgin, of course), some grilling and a beautiful day of hanging out with our great friends.  While I was not super big yet, I still felt huge in the cramped seats.  We had a ton of fun though!
Kris and B enjoying their bloodies.
I'll have you know that Schiewitz did not like bloody Mary's until I came around. :o)
 We liked ours too!
 B and Ange hanging out.
Kris and I.  You can see my little preggo belly.
 Love these guys!
 At the game.

We went to the Iowa-PSU game back in October.  As with the last Iowa-PSU game (see post here) we went to, the Hawks were awful.

Anyway, even though they lost horribly, we still had a great time!  Andrew went to Iowa City on Friday night, while I rode in with friends on Saturday.  I didn't think I would be able to make it 2 nights away, being 8 months pregnant.

We arrived Saturday morning and started tailgating right away.  I stayed off my feet as much as I could, but did end up taking a nap in the car for over an hour.  With it being a night game, it was a long day.  It was, however, a beautiful day to tailgate.

We has a blast with our friends and did some sophisticated-real, adult tailgating.  Here are some pictures from our trip.

Baby B is a good beer holder.

Yay band and black and gold stripes!
The boys at the game--thanks Scottie for the great seats!

While it was super fun, I would recommend not traveling past 30 weeks pregnant.  Coming home we had a little scare-I didn't feel well, was nauseous, lethargic and overall feeling gross, but thanks to Janice for keeping us calm and taking care of me, we made it home safely after a long weekend!

Second Trimester

Well, again, so much for keeping you all updated.  Here's a quick post on my second trimester.

Overall, it has still been a great pregnancy!  We feel very fortunate that I have felt so good and that the baby seems to be doing well too!  This trimester I took 2 trips to New York, felt the baby move for the first time at 20 weeks, saw the baby, taught summer school, took a trip to Florida, had a whole summer and started teaching 3rd grade.  It was a busy, but great 3 months.

Here are some pictures of the belly....

We also had our ultrasound at 20 weeks.  Can you believe there really is a baby in there.  We saw it, and it looks healthy.  The technician said all positive things: 4-chamber heart, good looking brain, correct measurements and that it was very photogenic-just like it's parents.
 That's a foot!
 A side profile.

First Day of School--definitely have a bump.
So here's to another 3 months.

What Summer?

Wow, seriously, we did it go?  I had such wonderful plans to blog all summer updating you on our pregnancy, trips and home improvement projects, but that just didn't happen.  I think this was the fastest summer ever, seriously....12 total weeks, 6 of those were summer school, 3 others were 1 week trips and the other 3 were just busy, with 2 being the final weeks of summer which are typically filled with school events and preparation.

Here are some pictures of the rest of the summer.
 First Ride on the boat!
Fourth of July for Fireworks on the boat.  Starting to see a baby bump.
 Best Buds on the Fourth.
Thanks Patti for watching the kids so Bryan and Janice could join us.
Fiona sitting.
While Dad and Kelly were in France we offered to watch Fiona.  While she is a fabulous, very well trained dog, we realized that we are not quite ready to be dog owners.
She loved our backyard (Dad doesn't have one, just a balcony), but by the end of the week she was filthy.  So, we gave her a bath.  Even in the bath, she was so well behaved.

This is where Fiona liked to sleep at night.  I didn't mind, she is such snuggle bug.

 Happy 4th Anniversary to us!
Andrew surprised me with a spa day and night at the Grand Geneva.  It was fabulous!
10 year Stevenson Band Reunion.  So good to see everyone and catch up.
Me and Maynard at a Mallards game for Jeanette's birthday.
 Happy Birthday J!
We were in the Duck Blind for the first time.  I could not partake in the all you could drink, but let me tell you, it was worth it for the all you can eat!
Andrew's Aunt, Uncle and Cousin visit from Seattle!  This was near Maddy's sorority house on the UW campus.
We had to take them to the Terrace for some ice cream!
More boat rides.  While this summer was too hot to enjoy the boat as much as we would have liked, we did get to take some with friends and family.
Janice and Jake enjoying the ride.
Hayden loves to take the wheel.
Craig and Reece in Madison for the first time!
 Me, Linds and Maddy!
 Auntie Linds and Uncle Crack
 Oh Uncle Crack....you're so crazy.
Reece loved the boat.  I'm the king of the world!!
Ange and Craig testing the new Miller Lite Pop Tabs.
 Shot gun...I think they work.
 Cousins.  Andrew and Maddy.
At the end of the summer, we took a road trip to Destin, FL with my mom, step-dad Mike and his kids.  We had a house and spent a lot of time on the beach.  It was a great way to end the summer.
Andrew and I where we sat for pretty much the entire week.  Enjoying the waves, but staying out of the sun.
An Irish Pub in Destin.  When you go you have to staple a dollar to the ceiling or walls.  They have over a million dollars stapled up in that place.  It was pretty cool.
 We had to participate!
Our buck stapled to the ceiling.  In case you can't read it, it says Andrew, Paige & Baby Porky.  August 2012.
Ange, Mom and I took a ride on 30A, a scenic road on the Gulf.  We stopped and enjoyed lunch and many shops.  This was one of the stops.
We took a night to enjoy a dinner just ourselves.  The restaurant was right on the pier.
Even though the summer was fast, it was great as always.  It's so nice to be able to spend some quality time with our family and friends.  It's especially nice to be able to spend some time just the two of us together.  We can't wait until next summer when we have off and will have a little nugget to spend out time with.
