The Majestic, only our favorite music venue in Madison, had a Yacht Rock party. Yacht Rock is soft rock from the late 70's to early 80's that is smooth and mellow music that those who owned a yacht would rock out to while sipping their champagne. Hall and Oats, Toto, The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan are some well-known Yacht Rockers.
So, we of course dressed the part, as we always do, and donned our best yachting attire. We even went out a got new boat shoes (only the biggest craze in Madison right now). We figured we would use them on Dan's sailboat. It was a great night, and we all had a ton of fun playing the part.
