Come Sail Away.....

We're sailing away,
Set an open course for the Mendota Lake
'Cause we've got to be free,
Free to face the life that's ahead of us,
on board, Dan is captain, so climb aboard,
We'll search for the capital, from every shore,

We look to the lake,
Reflections in the waves spark our memory,
Some happy, some sad,

We think of childhood friends and the dreams we had,
We lived happily forever, so the story goes,
But somehow we missed out on the pot of gold
But we'll try best that we can, to carry on

A gathering of angels appeared above our head,
They sang to us this song of hope and this is what they said,

We thought that they were angels, but much to our surprise,
We climbed aboard their starship, we headed for the skies

Our first sailing trip of the season.  A beautiful afternoon at the beginning of June.  Dan started to teach Andrew the ropes and even bought him new sailing gloves.  We look forward to many more sails in the future.
