Duck Pond

While we did have better weather for ducks the past couple of days with all the rain, we went out to the Duck Pond to watch the Madison Mallards.  These were the tickets we won at the Occupaws silent auction.  Andrew and I, Jeanette and Adam and Melissa and Ken all went to the game on a beautiful Thursday night.

We had never been to a game, and kind of expected it to be similar to the Schaumburg Flyers games, which we loved to go to at home.  It was similar, but the team is made up of college players.  We had bleacher seats and enjoyed the food and great beer selection.  At the games, they have a place called the Duck Blind which is an all-you-can eat and drink deal for a really reasonable price.  I'm sure we will be partaking in that sometime later this summer.

The Mallards lost in extra innings, but it was a great game.  Look for more posts about games in the future, and if you visit us, we may just take you to a game!  The only bad thing were the 3 adults behind us with the Duck callers squawking to all the music and chants--seriously, it was so annoying.
